Using the Windows Explorer Opening Windows Explorer gives you a view of your computer's contents as a hierarchy, or "tree." You can easily see the contents of each drive and folder on your computer, as well as of any network drives you are connected to. There are several ways to start the Explorer: 1. Select Start: Programs: Windows Explorer 2. Right click the My Computer icon, then click Explore
To change how icons are displayed: On the View menu, click the Large Icons, Small Icons, List or Details command. To display the previous folder: If the toolbar is not visible, click View, and then click Toolbar. On the toolbar, click the Up One Level button.
TIP: You can also press BACKSPACE to see the previous folder, whether or not the toolbar is visible.
